| So, Jen, why you, you ask? How do I know you're the one to help me out of the clutter rut I'm in? In the meantime, let me share with you a bit about my background so you can know a little more about how this all got started. Who do you think of when you hear the words "professional organizer"? Is it a person with a perfect ponytail & a perfectly-kept house & a person who's never been late for an appointment, never lost a sock in the washer & never, EVER misplaced her car keys? Well, I'm just a regular girl with a ponytail that's better some days than others, with a relatively well-kept house who's been late for an occasional appointment, lost a few socks here & there (among other things) & who's even lost the car keys a time or two (but thankfully, not the car!). My organizational skills have evolved over time through necessity. In college I was the roommate who, in a mad dash, threw her worldly belongings from the floor to the closet & slammed the door just moments before a parental visit. I was also the girl who, after neglecting my chores for a few days, stashed all the dirty dishes in the oven in preparation for a Halloween party. All was fine until my roommate's boyfriend decided he was hungry & wanted a nice frozen pizza. You can imagine my horror & embarrassment at having to pull melted cups, colanders & the like out of the oven in front of all my decked-out friends. You see, I've shared the horror & embarrassment you might be feeling right now about your surroundings. It's OK & it can be fixed! Now, fast forward a few years (ten, to be exact - yikes!) & you find a girl who's learned from her life experience - including a 10-year professional sales career, single life w/ roommates (great!), married life (way better!), three corporate relocations, three temporary apartments & three houses. That's a lot of moving & a lot of stress! You know what, though? Each one became easier. No professional organizer will ever judge your situation, but I can truly empathize - I've totally been there & found a way out!
